Going rate for a complete parts bike?

I appreciate everyone's enthusiasm, but I really don't want to mislead anyone on the condition of the bike. Oce I get an honest assessment of what it is worth, then I'll let you guys fight over it ;-)

Just joking around with 1year bro dont pay no mind to us we go at it all the time:boxing: mine started out as 900!! till #3 let go!!:headbang:

so #3 let go and went to #2? :cussing:that sucks but you were prob looking for an excuse to upgrade your cc's anyway.
i knew you were just picking on us guys with smaller powerhouses so i had to get my shot in lol :violent1:. its all in fun and in the end we all get to poke fun at the harleys :pk::rotf:

Absolutely, DO NOT PART OUT THE BIKE!!!!! Can't stress that enough. Others have been forewarned and didn't listen and are stuck with carcasses. Never made even close to what they thought they would. Sell it to someone here, they'll have it running in a few hours. That bike is in good shape. I bought one worse than that (sat outside 6-7 yrs) and am so close to starting it up. Just need to get oil filter/oil and fuel. If you aren't interested in fixing it or having it fixed, sell it to someone here.
On another note: are you that guy on "restaurant impossible"?? Lol just bustin your stones man

WISH I could cook like that guy! And have a hot Asian wrestling wife! LOL

OK guys, today golddrakul was nice enough to come out to Corn Country and take a look at the bike. He was unable to do a compression test due to the starter not being attached to the bike. Apparently the previous owner had taken it off and lost the mounting bolts.( I do have it though) He gave me an honest assessment of what I could get for the desired parts if I were to part it out. He also gave me a realistic value of the bike as it sits. He feels it would be a good candidate for restoration, as pretty much everything is there and in fairly decent shape. At this point, I would like to see it go to someone who is willing to put in the time to get it running and back on the road again. Feel free to DM me to discuss further if you have interest. Thanks again to Bob for coming out on his own time to help me out.

So what's the "assessment" price, if you don't mind me asking. If it were me? I would go for it and do the restore yourself...these bikes are a pleasure to work on and are bullitproof when running right. It's also a stress breaker, wrenching on these gorgeous bikes. You will also gain ALOT of knowledge..and you have an expert mechanic close enough to you (gold) that you could bribe him with a fine wine...just joking to come over and help you out.

I wish it were a little closer. I also hate having to figure out "previous owners" attempts at "fixing" something, like the missing starter. That bugs me. It still should be resurrected if at all possible, hope somebody here gets it!

I'd be willing to take it on but of course, it would depend on price. As Texas pointed out, there's alot of unknowns and the risk is significant to any perspective buyer that would save it. Send me your bottom $ in a PM...........something I can't refuse! :laughing7:
