throttle

So I took my zl600 to the shop to have them look over my handiwork (after working on it myself when I could get back home to it) and sync the carbs. When I was pulling in, the radiator dumped and wouldn't suck the coolant back in so I had them look at that too. Ended up requiring a new radiator...

have an 85 zl900, having problems with throttle return (having to twist throttle back by hand) removed cables off carbs and the return springs on the carbs snap back perfectly. cables run smoothly on their own also. is there a helper return spring in the throttle grip? my cables are...

Well, I just bought my first bike, an '85 eliminator. It needs a good bit of work. first thing I decided to take care of were the cables and grips, just got 'em in today. I spent about two hours, a few gallons of sweat and a few choice words getting the cables on the carbs, but finally got it...

So I was trying to get my zl to idle better and unfortunately the cable broke under the grip. I was sereously thinking about maybe using a bicycle cable or souldering it. Any ideas?
