hey guys, I am still having problems with my new rebuilt petcock or rather vacuum issues.. with 2 vacuums coming from the carbs it is still fuel starved. I am hoping to bypass the fuel starving problem by bypassing the vacuum entirely.. does the cheaper pingel petcock available on the zl store...

Don't know if this belongs here, but I found it extremely helpful when some of the more experienced members were advising me to open up the carburetor and check it for problems and clean it. If you don't know what one looks like, or what everything is supposed to do this is a good starting...

I just bought a beautiful red ZL600 in perfect shape. A question about the petcock postion, owner's manual says to leave it on but service manual says put in pri. Any idea which it should be? This looks like a great place for me to learn about my ride. Z

I was leaving work this morning and noticed my ZL1's tank was empty, which was odd. I filled up, came home, and found fuel leaking from the #2 carb. The bike had been sitting while I was on deployment (in the Navy), except when my neighbor rode it. Any ideas?

so tonight i'm gonna put a pingel fuel tap on the zl. a couple of weeks ago i had a freak fuel leak, there was gas all over the floor of the garage and the stock tap was all wet. luckily it was an external leak and it didn't fill the oil with gas.(i had just changed the oil the day before) is...
