Get a Grip, well I need some !!

I have Metzeler ME880 200/70-15. Bought it for Usd 225 from Ridersdirect on ebay. Needs to be installed without air and then pumped up after installation. I cant imagine fitting any wider than that....
I can't imagine trying to squeeze that on a 4" rim, unless you have some other wheel installed.

Not to mention the stock size is only about 25" tall, yours would come out to be 27.6"

How about some pics?

Metzeler's allowable rim width for this tire is 5.5 to 6.5". The ZL rim is 4". If you have a stock rim, the tire is probably really pinched in, and not at it's true width.

I believe someone said with the Mean Streak wheel fitted, a 180 or 190 was max without rubbing the swingarm. But yeah, depends on tire brand too.

THANS TO BOTH OF YOU GUYS.....this helps!

SO CAL ZL

The 170 Metzler on mine couldn't be a blonde c hair bigger without rubbing. (embarrassing rims)

I am in Dubai and will be traveling around Asia for the next 2 weeks... once I get back to Iceland I will post some pics of 200/70 fitted...

Those 200/70 will fit because the rim pulls the sidewall in, leaving you with a tall ass tire. I like the final ratio the zl10 had with the stock 160/80. The shinko is a smaller tire when i compared them to the me880 and the k555

Get them online from Motorcycle superstore. If you click and buy on the small ad on the left side of the homepage I will earn a small commission on the sale too which goes towards supporting this site. They have good prices and fast free shipping on orders over $100

That is how I ordered mine and they showed up in about 3 days. Was quick and easy! I am very please with the shinkos and can't go wrong with the price.

Have looked everywhere in my tool boxes for one of those blond c hairs to use as a reference measurement...unfortunately none to be found. Have already alienated two of the neighbors asking for donations. Anyone know what the average thickness might be..??? :rotf:

First heard that form of measurement being around presses and printers. Everything was picas and lines. So they had come up with their own measurements using the females..um..fur thickness.

Well they go down (in size)in order from Brunette, Red to Blonde....beyond that your into milipubes. Anyway, when your a blonde c*** hair away...it's dam close! Less than a stone's throw. Closer than yonder....

so if we covert 1 millipube to inches it comes out to be about .039"

So that must be the brunette because my wife is a blonde and they aren't anywhere near 40 thousands of an inch....

Geez...Might have to go to bed with the digital micrometer caliper now :rotf:
