Hi folks,

I made a research and the only post i found is for a ZL 900 so I'm posting a new thread.

I bought a ZL 600 and wish to make some mods on it. Can someone tell me if it is dangerous to replace the original radiator cover for this one => radiator cover.JPG ?

Does it have any known issues?

Thanks for your time

P.S.: I found a place to introduce me but did not found anything and I'm really happy I found this owner's association

I live in Central PA and the air is cool around here. Knowing what I know about heat exchangers and my ZL 600, I can tell you this.....
As long as you are getting sufficient air flow through the radiator, there is nothing to worry about. That said, if you live in AZ or New Zealand, you want all the air flow through that radiator you can get!
My radiator fan hardly ever kicks on, but I take long, fast rides through the forest. When I lived in Erie, lots of stop light to stop light riding, it would kick in occasionally at long stop lights.
Bottom line, you gotta weigh the ambient air temp where you are against how long you just sit there in idle! I'd say try it and see what happens. Fan kicks in a lot, might wanna switch back to stock.
My two cents....

It shouldn't make any difference whatsoever - Beowulf make some good gear [they are quite local to me - and have always been really helpful when I've dealt with them]
