some new proforge steering components and a TA box that I had around forever 2.5-3 turns lock to lock. Used the old parts to guesstimate tie rod lengths, the old joints were pretty loose. Standby for some good stuff tossed at the pile, I did a thing.
UMI Performance stage 2 front and rear will totally change the driving dynamics of the Esprit. 2" drop and can setup coilovers if i decide i want to hit the cone course. I am hoping it doesn't get too harsh, made with USA sourced matls, built right here in PA. I was going down the rabbit hole while waiting and found a "cheap" haha 12" front rotor hydraboost setup, that and some year one 17" rally 2s can support 275 rear and 255 fronts...after I get some miles on the setup I have now.
Parts from boxes making their way onto the car. Needing some lower control arm shock clip nuts and a spring compressor, cleaning greasy grimy parts kinda sucks. New steering box has a bit more than 1 1/4 turn in each direction and the new control arms can really dial in the camber if i spin the rods 180°
I think single stage paint is just fine. The firebird was born with it and the mustang has lived with it for a very long time. It has its bumps, bruises and scars but don't we all.
Just a quick squirt of wheel cleaner and brush on the valve covers then hosed it down with the mini pressure washer. I had my cowl seal on the roof and didn't want a sloppy pic haha.
FRPP 347 bottom end, big cam, Edelbrock Vic Jr heads, twisted torker manifold. Performance Automatic AOD and an Auburn carrier with 370s in the 8". No PS or PB but 13" Baer brakes out front (necessitate the 17" wheels). Let's just say it can keep up with traffic. Street cruiser, wasn't built for the track.
