OK guys no more need to get around badgeless. I got my ZL1000 badges back from the shop and they have all been reproduced and are now available. I got a couple of new badges to try on and although they were tight to fit, I did manage after a little effort to get them fitted and they look just fine. They are a little heavier than the stock item and I think the mounting holes are a tad to close, but you can work with them.

The top box badge and the sissy bar badge just bolt straight up no problems.

So get onto the site and replace those missing badges.

Now we just need someone to sort the Horn covers and that kawasaki fork cover badge.

Cheers Mick

I just recieved mine from Brian, I ordered the two for the tank, one for the doghouse, and the one for the sissy bar. He shipped them quickly and I'm happy with the results.

I didn't see any for the doghouse and sissy bar.

Mick,,,, Thanks for getting this together!!! :headbang:

Well I have my badge and so far it's not going to fit. I have filed the holes almost to the edge of the chamfered hole and still no go. I'll take some measurments to see how far off they are. Also the screw scratches the letter it's next to on the side. So far i'm not happy with these. I need a badge that fits without modification. Double sided tape is for Honda's

Double sided tape is your friend! When done cut screw heads off and attach with contact cement. Nobody will ever know the diff and it takes very little time.

btw the easiest way to use the tape is to stick it to emblem first then cut away access with a razor knife. Get a perfect fit this way. You guys prob already knew this maybe, but a guy showed me this trick not long ago and it works great on just about any vehicle. It's just not worth the time hassling with broken or misaligned fasteners.

That might be OK for someone looking to dress up their Harley Davidson with Kawasaki badges. But for my low mileage bike that isn't going to fly with me. Especially when I payed $49 for a badge I expect it to fit without modification. Why make a production run of an item like that and not see if it fits properly without modification first?? To me thats half a$$
If I want badges that don't fit I will buy OEM Kawasaki Badges from another model and stick those on for half the cost!

I did get my money back from this guy but not without him makin an a$$ out of himself first and totally pi$$ing me off. I still have the badge and will be tossing it in the trash after I run it across the grinder.

Can't say I blame you Mark!!!!!! I like to get what I pay for too Bro!!:pistols:
i agree with you guys on this. especially with your zl1000 Mark . that bike deserves the best of the best ! parts should fit without modification, unless your going for a non-stock look, which i know you are not ! CHRIS

Just to let you know who your dealing with here.

Brian,

The badge isn't going to fit properly. I widened the holes as you suggested almost to the edge of the chamfered hole and still no go. All i'm it's doing now is scratching the badge up and scratching my tank up, because the screws are hitting the letters. Overall the badge is shorter, about the same distance that the holes are off.

Mark

Mark - I have just refunded your $49.00 AUD, via PayPal. You can keep the badge, but make sure you junk it....;-)

I am selling these badges to other customers who are thankful to get decent replacements - I don't need you or 'your' ZL-OA, your 'advice', or attitude. Good luck finding tank badges elsewhere!

I had no issues with the Badge replicas, I replaced all of them with his and they fit fine, sorry that happened. I found this site by accident and they appear to have the side cover badges as well.

How did you get the tank side badges to fit? Mine was a good screw off, I don't have patience to alter something to fit that should fit out of the box. Once something gets scratched/ruined in the process then i'm done with it.

I swear I don't work for the guy! I bought the tank, doghouse and sissybar badges from him, they all screwed right on with no tweaking. There was a paper in the package that said to bend the tank badges gently in the palm of your hand if there was any fittment issues. I did not have to do that, the install of all 4 took less than 12 minutes.
