I am sending my speedo and tach to Georgia this weekend to be serviced. The speedo will be taken apart, lubed, new bearing(s), face - needle- glass cleaned. The tach is having the bezel and glass removed for cleaning (spider web)- I don't know how they get in there! The guy removes the bezel without breaking it on a lathe-I don't know how he does it! They should look good when they are done, I recently bought new cups, rubber dampers for the screws, and new dampers for the surface where the cup mates with the bezel and a new trip odometer knob. It is supposed to cost around 300.00 for both plus shipping. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. After this is done with a new speedo cable and the new speedo drive, I should be good for another 22 years.

I kinda always thought it would be cool to re-do them with white faces, and different lettering.

moab...

I'd just do it yourself and save the money.
I've changed my speedo to a ZRX already and was going to
do the tach also but I'm holding off and going with white
faces and green LEDs.
Just need to order the white face for my VDO temp gauge
and I'll have the complete white set.
Then I can change over.
