New Tools

I've got that set, but mine was less than $30 at the tool store down the street. It worked well for the 2 times I used it in 4 years.
 
:hello: I've owned at least 8 manual operated grease guns and 2 air operated ones over the past 30 years. All CHINA junk. I finally hit pay dirt on a good deal for a new Vintage USA made one. It's made by SUPERIOR model 37023B Vari-matic lever gun. $35 shipped. My Dad owned one back in the 70s. My Brother Michael still has it and it has never failed him. That things brand new! I've got one very similar but it doesn't look like that. Never bothered to look for a brand on the greasy thing.
 
:hello: I got it from E-bay. The seller said that it was his Dads and that it was used a few times then cleaned up and put in storage for 30 some years.
 
Yep good old vintage. I'm a farm boy my grease guns are 3 generations old. I keep 2 loaded with different greases.
Last week I got 7 quality used lathe tool holders bringing the total to 11. Nice to not have to shim and reset up all the time. Now just flip a lever lock it on and it's centered.
 
:hello: I went to put a cartridge of grease in my vintage grease gun and realized it does not use one. :laughing7:. I opened both ends of the tube and pushed the grease all the way through with the guns plunger.
 
RJ, you had the directions...lol. funny how the tube fits like it's meant to be.

:hello: I picked up a HARBOR FREIGHT gas powered auger/post hole digger at a yard sale for $20. The Lady wanted $50. :laughing7:. I cleaned the cab and the fuel tank. Installed new fuel line, new pull rope and replaced all the CHINA junk hardware with S.S. allen cap screws/bolts. :hello: I put gas in the fuel tank to start the auger and it ran out the rubber insert that the fuel line and prime line runs through. I took it out and cleaned the rubber again. :hello: The 30 + years of working in AREO Space Technology I brought home 100s of allen wrenches both STD and METRIC. I'd be wrenching on a Navy Ship Control System, Nuclear Submarine Control System, a M1 A1/A2 Tank Driver Trainer Simulator and or their associated test equipment. I'd put the allen wrenches in my pockets get home and put them in a 3 lb coffee can. I've given most of them away. I still have 50 + STD and 30 + METRIC. IMG_8711.JPG METRIC IMG_8712.JPG STD.

:hello: I modified one of my Craftsman cotter pin removers for installing the 2 inner airbox to carb boots on my ZL 10. I welded in a 4 inch section of an old screwdriver then ground down the welds. My carbs need to come off again. The 2 inner carbs fuel is getting past the float needles. :hello: The US NAVY MCM Mine Sweeper Control Systems computer monitors cost US tax payers 60 K each and the keyboards price was ( not pictured) 17 K each. Each MCM system cost tax payers 1.2 million US dollars. They are not your every day computer systems. They are designed and built to take high viberation and shock. I worked on and tested MCM 2 to MCM 14. It was a 13 year project. 1985 to 1998.
