For the guy to make the bars was $120.00...He has a powdercoater near him so he does alot of powdercoating (no chromer close)...The powdercoat was $25.00....so my total was $145.00..
Found out a few things mounting them....To get everything on the ends, it was a very tight fit with the master cylinders coming in contact with the risers...I would have liked to put my master cylinders more to where the mirror thread area was parallel to the ground, but it would hit the riser...I got them almost touching...with the tiny mirrors I wasnt sure I would get them angled down enough...I originally had the bars rolled towards me a little more, but there was no way I could have used the mirrors....The risers could probably be a little closer together and that might solve that...I had him make the center of the bars and the riser tubes 1" to look more beefy...The right grip/control distance is a little off in same dimension...left one a little wider because of the choke lever...That plus the brake and clutch lines hitting the riser, I coulod not scoot the controls all the way up to the 7/8-1" junction so there is a small gap...Not a biggie to me...also when we drilled the locator hole on the top of the bar on the right side, you have to be real careful to get it exactly in the right spot (the right switch has a locater tit that must fit in a hole in the bar)..we had to mess with that and sand the powdercoat off under the throttle grip because it was sticking....all in all very happy with the look and feel...
The bars on Jarney's 1K had a 15 degree pull back at the ends of the bars..I ad the guy make mine 10 degrees to make them a little straighter...The risers also could be a little shorter to get the bars closer to the tank..maybe a couple inches...Lots could be done different...the guy does nice work, but it took him quite a while to get mine done...
