Thought I'd introduce myself.

Brought a 1996 ZL600-B1 Eliminator a month ago after recently passing my bike test.

It was a one owner with 10k miles on the clock. Although in good condition, the colour scheme wasn't to my liking - Yellow, pink & Purple! So I came up with a new design for the paint and got a friend who restores classic cars to spray it. It's now black base, with gold metal flake covered with green candy.
He then did pin stripes in Kawasaki green. The logos were designed by myself, as a lime green version of a Japanese flag with Kawasaki name.

The tank has a total of 30 layers of paint on it from bare metal to the finished tank.

I love the bike, especially the way it looks like a cruiser but has an engine that revs and screams like a sports bike!

I've already received help on here, so thanks for that.

Hope you like the pics,

Benross, England.

Cool, welcome to the site. Heck of a paint job for sure. Later.

Didn't like the color much but by the time I got to your last picture I thought it really works. Now I think it looks good.

nice job with paint, looks awesome ! Welcome to ZL-OA . :headbang:

Thanks for all the replies, a few people who have seen it in the flesh have said the pictures don't do it justice.

In the sunshine it lights up like a Christmas tree!

Just need some sunshine now, as its bloody freezing in the UK at the minute!

Sunshine in Devon at last!

:hello: Nice. My friend Ron in Hubbard had a 1969 Chevy Z 28 Camaro with the same paint scheme & color. The black stripes went from the hood over the roof & down the trunk lid.
