im currently in the process of buying an 87 zl 600 and was wondering where i could get a headlight and would it be expensive?
Scooby....
a headlight bucket is one of the things I need. Mine has been glued and repaired twice....
Ebay might be his only hope....but be aware, the bucket is made of plastic and any that you buy off of Ebay, take a darn good look at the photos, make for darn sure they aren't cracked before you buy one. The headlight bucket from a ZL900 is the same thing as what is on the 600....
and YES, most of the ones I looked at on ebay were $50 or higher for ones that were cracked....
I removed the small bottom mount from mine (not the two large bolts on the sides) and that seemed to help it be a little less deformed.
I would say that a universal headlight bucket might work but I've never tried it.

Bob...that was just wrong.....![]()
Those darn rims cost me a fortune..well, the first one I got, I paid...don't know the exact price, I'll have to look in previous posts, but I know it was over 2 bills and came bent, so I had it straightened 150.00 and then the PC and it came out to be around 220, so that's 420.00 for that rim and the one with the 200 on it was close to 3 bills...but in my defense, the 200....does retail over 200.00.....So I got a huge amount of money in those rims....I can't sell them here, so I will just keep them....My luck...wasn't so good...but I do have a very hard to find part. Also, the shipping was 60.00 and the one with the 200 on it, was close to 75.00....sooooooo You get what you pay for and the 100.00 rim will not be seen any time soon, unless they were able to get it locally and be in the right place at the right time...the shipping killed me.....hopefully, I'll eat my words, but maybe not.im currently in the process of buying an 87 zl 600 and was wondering where i could get a headlight and would it be expensive?
