What kind of mileage do ya get?

I have an 86 zl900 with 35,250 miles on it I ride it to work when weather permits. I average right at 40.1 MPG. And that's getting on it once in a while. No mods except for acel coils &plug wires but I run. 93 octane gas all
the time.

25 mpg. With 3 gal fuel capacity, 50 mi. into a tank of gas of i'm switching to reserve. It Takes 2 gal to fill from there. Both my ZL 900s are pretty consistent with a total range of 75 miles. Of course I like to goose the throttle a bit.

With my '97 ZL600B I am normally on 19-20 km/l, wandering through the Alps. That is about 46 mpg, using standard crap gasoline.
When using better gasoline with 98 or 99 octane number, I get about 10% increase in fuel economy (and overall performace, and slightly lower emissions), so I get about 21,5 km/l, that is 50 mpg and more.

Using higher octane gasolines is suggested on the manual, but not every station has them, so I mostly go with the crap (that is about 91 octane).

:hello: My ZL 1000 fuel consumption varies. When sport bike type of riding I average around 32 mpg. Normal riding I would say I average 36 mpg. When sight seeing with my wife on the back it will stretch to 44 mpg. Cycle World December 1986 stats was high 45 mpg. Avg. 37 mpg & low 32 mpg.

Unfortunately many here are not able to read that language. Would it be possible to translate it?

I'll bet you don't want to click on any of those links

Jet kit, aftermarket slip-ons, K&N airbox filter, 2 deg ignition advancer, Mean Streak rear wheel: 44 mpg on twisty back roads and rural byways. Maybe rear wheel is throwing the actual mileage off?

I wouldn’t think so as the Speedo is tied to the front wheel
