1. Guest,
We need good tech writers that are willing to help out here at ZL-OA. If you like taking photos of jobs as you perform the steps on your repairs, have historical ads/documents from old magazines, or any else you think belongs in the Technical Library than you might be able to help. Send a private message to Furchin, Mudrunner88, Chris, Jarney, Wuputt, or Markus56 and we can lead you in the right direction to get started.

    Hi guys,
we have the project to remanufacturing a ZL 900 - 1000 mufflers series, almost identical to the OEM part but in stainless steel.

We are looking for the largest possible number of people interested in this type of purchase.
Can you forward this information to all?

Prices and pictures to follow ;)

:hello: I take that these mufflers will be a bit louder than stock & have removable baffles. Will they have packable baffles. Also shipping would be quite a bit from France.

    plus value added tax?:rotf:

Sorry, nothing for Germany; termination of operating permit (even w/out Swarznegga :laughing7:), bike will be confiscated and you have to pay penalty. There are meanwhile road traffic commanderships specialized in unlicensed changes...:(

Noise control is standard when you come along too loud, the rest depends on if you know more 'bout the bike than the officer - I do! :laughing7:

I inquire for the shipping and if there are taxes.
For the sound we copied the original interior, just added a DB Killer.
We have to wait for the prototype to correct the sound if necessary!
We cut a silencer to do the same.

Up to 1988 you can (nearly) do what you like as long as you follow the values in the bike papers; from '89 on you have to make beside the 2-years duty check an emission test. Some bikers overdo manipulations so the people living nearby 'beloved race streets' made the cops sensible for these weekend annoyances; furthermore the 'points-system' in GER has been changed and the penalties are much higher now...you can lose the drivers license faster than expected.

The registration date is decisive: from '89 on you are punk'd.
Your mufflers have no SANKEI-# or pressed-in text...difficult:thumbsdown:.

In Cologne they have special units who chase every night the manipulation racers coz of too many victims of illegal races, so why not some by-catch on 2 wheels...

We have someone here on the bay who wants to get rid of his legal&not-mufflers: https://m.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-a...uspuffanlagen-siehe-bilder/796377307-306-4001

Well in Germany they are as crazy as the French. :D
Now in France it will soon be 80km/h on national, delirium.
Easier to lose the license with speed rather than making noise. :(
    Poor world !
