1. Guest,
We need good tech writers that are willing to help out here at ZL-OA. If you like taking photos of jobs as you perform the steps on your repairs, have historical ads/documents from old magazines, or any else you think belongs in the Technical Library than you might be able to help. Send a private message to Furchin, Mudrunner88, Chris, Jarney, Wuputt, or Markus56 and we can lead you in the right direction to get started.

I may have a wrecked Connie 14 coming in.
It's been rear ended...I've still got some Mean Streak stuff left, wheels, swingarm, gauges etc.
Also some ZX14 bits here and there.
Gonna test fit some stuff and see.
    No promises.....

:hello: After I'm done with all my projects I'm going to put a 14 connie motor in a 2015 Valcan.

It's a project that's deffo on my list ...just need to move on a few bikes and put the ZL1100 back together....restore the Zl1000.

Hm,mmm don't hold your breath. But I do have a tank that I'm going to get a fibreglass mould from.
Biggest headach that I foresee is streatching the s/arm & prop to get the right 'look'

But then it would have 4 wheels...which makes it a car!

Jury is still out on that...love all the innovated stuff Yamaha have done.

Just looks a little 'over engineered'

Worth buying one as a future classic but not sure I'll need it or the money when i'm in my eighties.:D

Not good at the photoshop thingy. So this is the best I can come up with to see how things would fit. ZL1400 merge.png

You can see the engine is a lot further forward. So if shoehorned into a ZL frame it should puch the rear wheel further back into the 'right' position.

Gonna use the Connie frame, well the front part anyway.
"Tank" will probably just be a hollowed Vulcan tank as a cover.
This will be more like the ZL Kaw should have built.

There's an idea, connie frames are dirt cheap.

    Good point.

I'll be using the 1400 frame as it solves a lot of problems.

1400 frame and probably Mean Streak rear tail frame with Marauder tail.
For those that don't know the Marauder was a rebadged Mean Streak with a different tail/ tail light.
