1. Guest,
We need good tech writers that are willing to help out here at ZL-OA. If you like taking photos of jobs as you perform the steps on your repairs, have historical ads/documents from old magazines, or any else you think belongs in the Technical Library than you might be able to help. Send a private message to Furchin, Mudrunner88, Chris, Jarney, Wuputt, or Markus56 and we can lead you in the right direction to get started.

Paul talking about riding in PA Coal Country brought back fond memories of my younger days. Here is one of the last places to go. Go here for pics. https://www.google.com/search?q=pa+coal+hill+climbs&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS764US764&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=YPd-Qpre9yRyTM%3A%2Cvhj_dBZ_PuFo8M%2C_&vet=1&usg=AI4_-kRlD38dhD4hbMBp-hb4vlsEUzv-bA&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj6zN7kntzhAhXKl-AKHQYhAsMQ9QEwDXoECAYQBA#imgrc=87QcqYnKg5fkQM:&vet=1 Some videos. #1. #2. #3. #4. #5. Trevorton PA ATV Park face book. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Trevorton-Pa-Atv-Park/148386181866143 It was a 3 hour drive from my Parents place in EMEIGH. We'd take 219 North then I 80 East to TREVORTON. I'm not sure when it became an Off Road Park.

Used to spend lots of time there. The camera never really shows how steep the hills really are but they were actually harder to climb years ago.
Did you ever see any of the others we had way back when, like the tower city coal hill years before the co-gen plant came and made it just a mole hill. We had a couple between Blackwood and Pottsville and there were many hidden that were much more challenging than the outsiders ever seen. I had a set close to my house growing up we used to call the mushroom mountains that looked like nothing as peaople passed by on the more traveled route but the other side was a drop like you had never seen.

I still occasionally run the buggy but not nearly as much as I did years ago. My friend is trying to motivate me to fire up my monster and get out for a spin but since I still build engines for others my free time is usually spent building stroker engines of all types.

:hello: We had several hill climbs in Emeigh, Hastings, Marsteller, Barnesboro, Spangller, Greenwitch & Grisgo Hollow. In the early 90s they was all leveled & back field. Grisgo Hollow still has some hill climbs. At Grisgo we had one hill climb called the high wall & another called double dips. We also had over 100 miles of trails. On any given Sunday in the 70s we would have over 100 riders.

:hello: Here is all that is left of the Coal Hill Climbs in Spangler PA. They ran from Barnsboro to Spangler along a 3 mile dirt road. It's all been back field except for a 10 acrer plot. Some of the hill climbs was up to 400 feet high. Also a silt pond was field in. Barnsboro & Spangler is now Northern Cambria. :hello: This is another place to ride in PA. It used to be part of Bethlehem Coal Mine Company. It has about 40 miles of trails crisscrossing PA mountains, streams & power lines. They run through Vinco, Mineral Point, Ebensburg, New Germany & some other small towns in PA.
