:hello: Rick: My ZL 10 carbs that you done for me the 2 rails that hold the carb banks together are showing signs of rust which is no biggie. Some time down the road I was going to get them powder coated silver. Would gas/fuel have any affect on the powder coating.

:hello: OK: Thank's Rick. It won't be any time soon. :laughing7:. I will get the rails on the following carbs done because they are still in my closet. :laughing7:. 85 CB 650 SC, 87 GPZ 1000 & 88 EL 250 B. I'm having them powder coated in BMW silver. PowderKoat Plus had 7 shades of silver to chose from & the BMW is closest to my liking. How much would you want to do a one cyn sport quad carb. I have all the OEM parts & SS cap screws.

:hello: Yesterday I picked up all my carb rails & carb brackets from PowderKote Plus located in South Daytona FL. They are the only Powder Coat Co. in my area that does small parts. They came out really nice. 5 bank rails was $8 each. 2 bank rails & brackets was $4 each. All parts are done in BMW silver. IMG_5910.JPG IMG_5911.JPG

:hello: Thank's: Rick. Powderkote plus does very good work. All their powder coat is rated to 800* F. I've never had to have them redo any parts. They have been in business for 26 years at the same location.

When I bought my zl9 ,, the guy said it was ,,,,, carbs rebuilt and tuned up,,,, NOT,,,
I found rotten plug caps, sticky cam chain tensioner and of course carb issues (crappy cold idle and 5k rpm stumbling)
I have replaced the tensioner, plug caps/wires and the alternator tensioner
I removed the carbs and found air screws were different settings and a diaphram installed offset
also a few of the manifold clamps were stretched and deformed and I could spin the manifolds easily by hand
ordered new clamps and sent the carbs off to Rick for a rebuild
thank you for being there for us Rick

I received my carbs from Rick last week and have completed the installation
she fired right up and the choke is actually functioning properly no stumbling,,, hit the choke and she rev's right up
I let her warm up and set the idle, she runs smooth and rev's good
I will give you guys a ride report later tonight
    Great work Rick!

    Ok,,,
I went out for a ride cruised and some very hard runs, with some speed shifting,,,,,
    OMG!!!!!!
The top end is stronger by 100% ,,, I kid you not.
Cold starts ,,, perfect ,,, way better than before
    smooth pull when cruising
    Flawless acceleration
And did I mention the top end?
Keep turning the throttle and she just keeps on pulling

    FYI
It would have cost me more money just for parts if I was to do the rebuilds myself
you cannot get a better deal and the amazing results anywhere.
The service that Rick provides is afordable and amazing
    Two thumbs up!

Rick's work is top notch, no questions about it!!!!!
    Thank you again Rick
    Ken

Time to give her a good scrubbing and a nice long ride through the canyon
