Are those pumps used out in the field or are they used for show. What do they pump.

 

They are visible gasoline pumps, used mostly in the 1920s before the advent of electric computer pumps. The gasoline would be pumped manually up into the glass cylinder and then delivered to the customer so they could "see" what they were getting.

I bought a new DeWalt weed eater ($370) and a 9 amp hr 20/60 volt flex battery. $250. ______________________________________

 

Did you buy the extra battery after you determined the one that came with it wasn't big enough?

 

No, Tool only. The one with a battery and charger came with a 3 amp hour battery. That would last about 20 minutes. The 9 amp hr battery lasts about 3 hours. I have 8 chargers, so I didn't need another one. .

 

I was looking at Ego. I need something that can go after the the thick brush that doesn't need the head played with every 10 minutes. My curved shaft Stihl is more meant for trimming grass.

 

I have a stright shaft Stihl. It's to long. I have to hold it above my shoulder. That's why I bought the DeWalt. My Son Jared moved to Minnesota six months ago, so I lost my yard guy.

 

I compared the EGO to the DeWalt. The DeWalt seems to be much more stout. Besides I have nine DeWalt batteries and six chargers.

 

Bought these. LOCK N FLATE 90* air chuck and LOCK N LUBE grease coupler. $40 each. Made in South Africa. I also bought a new USA made MILTON air inflator gauge. $60 _______________________________________________________________________________

 

I bought a used 30 foot commercial grade flagpole for $60. New they run around $1600. It came with the black plastic ground insert. I dug the poles hole 30 inches deep and 18 inches wide. It took 210 pounds of quikrete concrete to fill the hole. My old flagpole was 34 feet tall. The rope kept coming off the pulley. Twice I had my skidsteer guy pull the pole out of the ground. To set the flagpole in the ground first you slide the pole into the insert.Then level/plum it. Next using a water hose you slowly put sand between the pole and the insert. Over time more sand needs to be added. If the flagpole needs to come out of the ground use a water hose while shaking the pole while lifing it at the same time. To put it back in the ground you water the pole with a hose and the weight of it sucks the ploe back in the ground. ____________________

 

I bought my second MIGHTYMAX battery for my exmark zero turn mower. Eight years ago the first one cost $55. This one was $75 shipped. This is the first battery that has lasted me over eight years here in FL. The one that came with my mower lasted only two years. My record is a Sears Die Hard that I bought for my 1973 Dodge Dart Sport in 1976. Installed it was around $22. It lasted just over 10 years. __________________________________
