has anyone tried fitting stick coils to a ZL ?
Apparently lots of ZRX guys are doing it. They reckon it sharpens things up a little, loses about a Pound in weight and creates a load of space under the gas tank.
Can someone tell me if the 600 tank fits on the 900 frame without major hassle? Also please include any other options for forks, wheels, etc. I guess the Concours engine bolts in?

I read a couple of posts regarding front suspension swaps but couldn't find any about a completed swap.
I was just wondering if anyone had done that, and if so what was the donor bike and what kind of issues/modifications had to be done? I'd appreciate any info on the subject.

Hi, I'm new to this site and forums, but am looking for information on what larger petrol tanks can be brought and altered to fit my 1985 ZL900, as the old tank hand near disintegrated. I'm based near Birmingham in the UK and wondered if there are any local people/companies that I could take a template too to have a custom tank made or if I would be better off with having something altered.
My ZL has been sat in a lockup for about 2 years now, bad I know.

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to install longer handlebars on a 1985 ZL900. From what I can see the following lines/cables need to be made longer:
- hydraulic clutch line (hose, 1)
- front brake line (hose, 1)
- throttle cables (2)
- choke cable (1)
I'm not listing electrical wires since those are not so difficult to extend but I'm not sure how to tackle those mechanical/hydraulic parts. If anyone has any ideas or maybe has installed longer handlebars on their motorcycle I'd appreciate...
